Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects about one in seven women in their child-bearing years. Despite this there are no public health campaigns or celebrities raising it as an issue, which is why most of us have never heard of it. Women find it hard to get a clear diagnosis, good management and information. Through research and collaboration of leading global PCOS experts, a new app is changing this.

AskPCOS, available on Apple and Google, is the first evidence-based PCOS app, based on a ground-breaking partnership between Monash Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences and the faculty of IT. Women across 100 countries are now using the app that has been shortlisted by an international body as one of the world’s top 10 apps most likely to change the lives of girls and women.
