The Monash Indonesia Representative Office (MIRO) coordinated an engaging Transport Dialogue between Monash University and the Ministry of Transportation, Republic of Indonesia. The dialogue looked at transport through a leadership, capacity and innovation lens and panels were structured to capture multiple perspectives and link these themes. We utilised the occasion to formalise our partnership by signing an MOU. The MOU sets the foundation for collaboration on education, research and consultancy to address contemporary transportation challenges in Indonesia.
The Office of Global Engagement together with our Monash Indonesia Representative Office, held the Indonesia Network Forum on 9 August 2018 in the New Horizons Building on Clayton Campus. With 100 registrations and over 110 people in attendance, it was great to see so many people interested and engaged in Indonesia and join in the networking at the end of the forum.
Muhammadiyah, the second largest Islamic organisation in Indonesia, visited Monash to strengthen our partnership and to deliver an exclusive public lecture on Islam with progress, presented by the Chairman of Muhammadiyah, Dr. Haedar Nashir.
